Strait Area Women's Place
Women and adolescent girls are at the centre of our work. We operate a safe and confidential space for women to access resources and build community. Our staff has resources to support women making positive changes that benefit their life and families.
We welcome women from:

the wider Strait area,

different community organizations and groups
-
educators
-
students from our local high schools, community college, and universities.
We believe women are experts of their own lives. The Strait Area Women's Place can provide you with information and support so you can be more informed.

Women's place services include:

Advocacy on women's and gender issues

one-to-one problem solving and emotional support

accompaniment to court (or other legal or medical appointments)

referrals

and a wide array of programming in collaboration with Public Health and Addiction Services.
You do not need a reason to visit! We are a drop-in centre, so come by for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat. Confidentiality is respected and all are welcome.

Monday-Friday 9:00AM – 4:00PM Saturday and Sunday CLOSED
